Remembering Kyle Ward
Kyle Ward was a third-year UCO student whose life was cut short by an accidental overdose on October 17th, 2020. While at UCO, he was a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity, where he participated in the Cheer and Dance competition and served as Pike chaplain. He was also involved in Student Mobilization and spent the summer of 2019 at Kaleo, an evangelism and discipleship summer ministry of Student Mobilization.
He graduated from Edmond Santa Fe High School in 2018, where he played golf all four years and even played in the state tournament his senior year. Kyle loved golf, and he birdied the final hole he ever played just a few days before his death. Before working at UPS, Kyle served hundreds of golfers at The Greens Country Club and Gaillardia Country Club.

Kyle’s kind soul and quick wit were the joy of his family and many great friends.
All proceeds from this tournament will benefit Hope is Alive, a ministry in Oklahoma City that helps drug and alcohol addicts in recovery. In 2020, Kyle was one of 93,000 Americans who died from a drug overdose, the most such deaths in any year in U.S. history. Ministries like Hope is Alive are here to help reduce that threat and prevent the grief Kyle’s family and friends must now endure.
